MISSION STATEMENT
Section 1.04. Mission. The Institute for Children and
Families is organized and shall be operated exclusively for
charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c)
(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, to:
1. provide counseling and therapy services to and for
children and adults and their families, regardless of their
ability to pay. Our clients are people experiencing the
emotional, psychological, neurological or behavioral effects
of significant trauma, abuse and/or neglect.
2. provide community education concerning childhood
neurological and emotional trauma and the prevention of
such; and to provide training to other professionals
regarding the prevention and treatment of emotional trauma
to children;
3. conduct research to further understand the nature of the
results of trauma, both neurologically and emotionally, and
the ways to treat and/or prevent such results.
